Our Vision
The church is not standing still. We are always looking for ways to grow and develop into the people of God that He wants us to be. The church is on a mission and we have a job to do! We believe God has shown us the type of church that he wants us to be, and this has been confirmed through several prophetic words. That gives us vision and helps us to know what we are building together. So here is what we see:
• A large, dynamic, city centre church of around 800 people, all worshipping Jesus and engaged in the mission that God has given us.
• Person after person being saved through the work of the Gospel and added to the church.
• A church like the one described in Acts 11 and 13 at the place called Antioch. That was a church that served a much wider region, training leaders, planting churches and reaching nations.
• A church where every person is growing in Christian maturity, and the youngest to the oldest is being equipped to help spread the Gospel.
• A flexible and developing leadership team that exists to serve, support and teach the church but also to lead the church as it carries out its mission.
• Many small Community Groups meeting regularly in people’s homes to worship God and care for one another, and also reaching out to their friends with the Gospel.
• The Middle Brook Centre buzzing with life as it serves as a hub for church activities and as a means to engage with the community.
• A church that has an influence on society, working with other Winchester churches to proclaim Christ and advance the Kingdom of God.
• Many exciting links with the international family of churches called Newfrontiers, as we work together to see the corporate vision of Newfrontiers fulfilled.
