The Elders
The Church is led by a team of five Elders:
 |
John Groves John moved from Kings Church Hastings in June 2002 to become Senior Elder at Winchester Family Church. He is married to Marian and they have three adult children. John is responsible for the vision and direction of the church and oversees leaders at various levels. He also serves the wider family of Newfrontiers churches with his prophetic and teaching gifts and has a regular involvement with churches in India, Nepal, Portugal and Russia. Marian oversees our ‘Face 2 Face’ Women’s Ministry programme.

Mark Hall Mark was appointed as Church Administrator in 1984 and has served full-time in that role since 1991. He is married to Marie and they have two daughters. He oversees the planning, finance and administration of the church and its activities, along with other leadership responsibilities. He also takes an active role in the leadership and administration of Newfrontiers national events. Marie oversees the Catering & Hospitality Ministry of the church and also works as the Administrator of the Winchester Pregnancy Crisis Centre.

Neil Keyworth Neil joined the team in 2001. He is married to Sarah, who manages the church office and they have 5 children. Originally from Sheffield, Neil ended his career as a Medical Scientist in order to take up a full time Eldership role in the Church. He has responsibility for the oversight of the Leaders and Supervisors of many of our Community Groups and is also responsible for the development of family related projects, such as the Marriage Course and Parenting Course.

David Thompson David joined the team in 2003. In 2006, he ended his career as an electronics engineer to serve the church as a full-time Elder. As well as some preaching and teaching responsibility, he has oversight of the Leaders and Supervisors of many of our Community Groups and also oversees the welcome and integration of newcomers into the life of the church. He is married to Ali and they have two young sons. Ali is the Manager of the Winchester Pregnancy Crisis Centre and is involved with our personal counselling ministry in the church.

David Lockyer David joined the Eldership Team in 2008. He is married to Amber and they have two young children. David & Amber have been involved in the life of the church for several years and spent time living in India and Nepal helping to establish churches with which we have ongoing links. Currently, along with some preaching and teaching, David’s responsibilities include bringing vision and direction to the home & overseas Mission and Outreach initiatives of the church and he still makes regular visits to India and Nepal.
